Apple Kheer

This is an easy kheer recipe and extremely tasty! The recipe also depends on the type of apples, how sweet and aromatic they are. I made them with Iranian apples which we get in Dubai only during the winter months.


Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins


Ingredients

  • 2 tins Grated apple

  • 320 ml Evaporated milk

  • 1 tsp Ghee

  • 5 tbsp Sugar

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder

  • Slivered pistachios and almonds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a non stick pan take ghee and add the grated apples

  2. Cook for 5 minutes and it will get a little shrivelled

  3. Add sugar and cook for another 5 minutes

  4. Add the evaporated milk and 1 cup of milk and boil till it reduces a bit and you get a creamy kheer

  5. Sprinkle cardamom powder and garnish with almonds and pistachios

  6. Serve cold
