Apple Crumble

This is an English dessert and tastes very pleasant. You can also try this recipe with peach, it tastes awesome!


Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins


Ingredients

  • 300 gms maida

  • 1 tsp Baking powder

  • 175 gms + 1 tbsp Brown sugar

  • 275 gms Butter

  • 800 gms Apples thinly sliced

  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel the skin of the apples and cut it into thin slices

  2. Combine the apple, ground cinnamon, 1 tbsp sugar and the juice of half a lemon to allow the flavours to mix

  3. Combine the flour, sugar and butter to form a crumbly mixture

  4. In a greased baking dish, a ceramic dish measuring 9″ x 6″ (220mm x 150mm) would be ideal, crumble a third of the mixture evenly over the bottom of the dish

  5. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crumble mixture, covering it

  6. Spread the remaining the crumble mixture in small clumps over the apple mixture

  7. Bake at 190 degrees C for 25 minutes.

  8. The finished dish should be a golden brown crumble over the apple

Notes

You can add peach instead of apple for peach crumble
