Pizza Cups

This was a very interesting recipe I found on a food-related group on Facebook. I found it really easy so I gave it a shot!


Prep Time: 40 mins Cook Time: 15 mins


Ingredients

  • 12 Wheat Bread slices

  • 1/2 cup Grated Mozzarella cheese

  • 1 Finely chopped onions

  • 1 Finely chopped tomatoes

  • 1 Finely chopped capsicum

  • 1/4 cup Sweet corn

  • 2 tbsp Pizza sauce

  • as per taste Italian seasoning

  • to taste salt

  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes

  • 2 tsps Butter

  • as needed Peri peri sauce powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take the bread slices and cut the edges out

  2. With the lid of a large bottle, cut out small rounds from the middle portion of the bread

  3. Take a rolling pin and further roll it to make it thinner

  4. In a bowl, add the vegetables, corn, seasonings, salt, pizza sauce, chilly flakes and mix well

  5. Grease the muffin tray with butter

  6. Line the bread slices in the muffin moulds and fill it up with the veggies

  7. Top this with grated cheese

  8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees c and bake it for 10-15 mins till the cheese has melted and the top looks nice and crisp

  9. Sprinkle peri peri spice powder if you are using and serve it hot
