Who has not eaten these cheeselings when we were young? I used to love these and could eat an entire packet at a time. These are crisp cheese crackers that can be had with tea or coffee. I added a combination of two cheeses in this recipe - parmesan romania cheese powder and grated spanish cheese (which I bought from Spain). It is definitely a must try! I started with small sized biscuits but then got lazy and made them into strips.

Prep Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 150 gms Maida

  • salt to taste

  • 50 gms Butter

  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder

  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese powder

  • 1 tbsp Thick Yogurt

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead into a dough. Do not add any water, if you think the dough is dry add more yogurt.

  2. Roll this into a thick chapati and cut into cookies with a cookie cutter

  3. Line them on greased baking tray and bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 20-25 minutes, taking care not to burn them

  4. Have them with tea or coffee

Notes

  • Instead of cheese powder, you can use grated cheese of your choice

  • You can make cheeselings by rolling the dough into a thin chapati and cutting it in to small cubed pieces
