Eggless Gingerbread Man Cookies

These cookies are made during christmas. It is very tasty since it has the traditional spices like clove and ginger. Some people like to do icing designs on top, but personally I like to retain the flavour of the spices so I will like to have it as it is.. i did not have gingerbread man cookie cutter hence used xmas related cutters :)

Ingredients

For the cookies

• 1 and 1/4 cup Maida

• 1/4 cup Brown sugar

• 1/4 cup Molasses

• 50 gms Butter

• 1/2 tsp Baking powder

• 1/2 tsp Baking soda

For the spice powder

• 1/2 tsp Clove powder

• 1 tsp Cinnamon powder

• 1 tbsp Dry ginger powder

• 1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder

Instructions

1. Take brown sugar and butter in a bowl and beat well till creamy

2. Add the molasses and beat for another 2 mins

3. Mix the flour, baking powder and soda well. Add this to the wet mixture

4. Add the spice powder and make a soft pliable dough (if it is crumbly add milk)

5. Refrigerate for half an hour wrapped in a cling film

6. Roll this into ¼ inch thickness

7. Cut it with ginger man cookie cutter.

8. Line this in a greased baking tray and bake for 15-20 mins at 180 degrees C preheated oven.
